Information for New Students

Now that you've received your UWS offer, you’ll need to accept and enrol in your course. 

Students enrolling in Bachelor of Arts, Master of Teaching, Bachelor of Social Science, B Social Science/Bachelor of Law combined degree courses or postgraduate business administration courses should read the important information at the end of the page.

    If you have questions about unit selection or other aspects of your course, you should attend your scheduled Academic Advising session. If you want to apply for Advanced Standing, you must attend the session. Please make sure that you check the schedule again before attending, as some details may change.

    Academic Preparation workshops can help both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students with study skills, academic writing and techniques for work-life balance. Courses are held early in the teaching session.

    If you are enrolling in the Master of Teaching course, there is additional information available relating to eligibility for Centrelink assistance. (Note: This does not apply to International students.)

    If you are enrolling in:

    • Master of Business Administration; Graduate Diploma in Business Administration; Graduate Certificate in Business Administration
    • Master of Applied Finance, Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance
    • Master of Finance
    • Master of International Trade and Finance
    • Master of Business (Marketing); Graduate Certificate in Marketing 
    • Master of International Business; Graduate Certificate in International Business

    you are strongly encouraged to attend the Academic Advising and Orientation sessions for the Sydney Graduate School of Management.

    If you are enrolling in:

    1604 Bachelor of Arts
    2537 Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Law
    1651 Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to teaching Primary)
    1652 Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to teaching Secondary)

    course information sites are available with all the details you need to choose and enrol in your individual units of study. Go to vUWS and login using login ID: arts-gt and password: guest. 

    If you are enrolling in:

    1634 Bachelor of Social Science
    B Social Science/Bachelor of Law combined degree courses

    a course information vUWS site is available with all the details you need to choose and enrol in your units of study. Go to vUWS and login using login ID: social-gt and password: guest.
