Temporary Grades (Incomplete, Result Pending & Reassessment Grades)

All Temporary Grades will be converted to final grades as soon as possible, usually by the main census date in the following teaching session. If you are studying in Australia, enquiries regarding any Temporary Grade should be referred directly to your unit lecturer. If you are studying off-shore, you should refer enquiries to your Program Administrator.

Results Withheld

If you have a grade withheld status it is likely that you have outstanding fees and have had an encumbrance placed on your student record.

Please follow the instructions on our fees page for what you need to do to get your encumbrance lifted.

Determination of Marks and Grades

Your unit outline must set out whether any marks gained in part or all of the assessment will be modified or scaled. For example, you might achieve high marks but 'fail' the unit if a particular assessment task threshold has not been achieved.

Progression Information

Progression checks will be undertaken twice each year, at the end of Autumn and Spring teaching sessions.

You should familiarise yourself with the Progression Information, as your end of session results will be checked against the progression rules.  If you are identified as being 'at risk' of failing the rules this could lead to sanctions - such as conditional enrolment or exclusion.

If you think you may be 'at risk' you are encouraged to seek immediate assistance from either your Head of Program and/or Student Support. Head of Program information is available from the online Course and Unit Search Handbook.
