Student Learning Unit
Welcome to the UWS Student Learning Unit website. This website is the gateway for students wanting to attend free bridging courses and workshops run by the SLU. It is also the gateway for students and staff wanting to access online resources and to obtain information about peer mentoring and collaborative projects.
The Student Learning Unit organises and runs a variety of programs and courses to develop students' academic literacy, mathematics and study skills, and participates in many collaborative projects with schools and colleges to enhance the academic achievement of UWS students.
All these programs and services are detailed below:
Bridging Programs - pre semester courses in academic writing, study skills, mathematics, statistics, nursing maths
SLU Workshops - semester workshops in academic writing, mathematics, statistics, nursing maths
PASS - small study group sessions with senior students situated in various courses
Online Learning - resources on essays, reports, referencing, algebra, statistics, nursing maths and many more
Collaboration with Schools and Colleges
